Mrs. Black's Classroom
Today’s world is full of the use of computers—in businesses, in classrooms, in convenience stores, and in homes. While most of us have used a computer since an early age, we are not always exposed to all the uses of a computer.
This course is designed for students who have successfully completed another business/computer course, such as keyboarding, and wish to learn more about computers, other information technology equipment, and the dynamics of working in a business. In this class, students will learn a variety of software programs to produce documents and presentations. We will work with PhotoShop, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Office and Google programs. We will be using some expensive equipment and you are responsible for it when it is in your possession. Be responsible and treat it with respect. This course involves a lot of creating and a lot of playing with programs to develop ideas. You must use patience and be willing to wait for the teacher or someone else to help you. You must be responsible to wait in an appropriate behavior—not playing games on the computer! You must also be willing to help others! Projects will be graded according to a grading rubric. |
